I received my Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (OCOM) where I studied Acupuncture, Chinese Herbology, Western Biomedicine, Zen Shiatsu Bodywork, and several other adjunctive manual therapies. I am a board certified Diplomate with the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and a Licensed Acupuncturist with the Oregon Medical Board

Coming from a Language and Performing Arts background prior to attending OCOM, I love dealing with the complexities of the human body. I have always believed that movement may be used as a tool for personal healing and growth. It is for this reason that I resonate with the individualized and tactile nature of acupuncture and Eastern medicine. It is my belief that by looking at each individual patient as a whole, rather than a list of symptoms, I may better serve them to achieve good health and balance.

When I’m not in the clinic, I’m often teaching dance or spending time with my loving family and our spunky corgis Una and Pippin.

I look forward to working with you to achieve your health goals.

ABOUT SHEENA
Massage Therapy
sheena.jpg

I've been a massage therapist since 2004. I received my first Ashiatsu massage in 2015 and it blew my mind. I loved that I could receive deep, meaningful pressure while avoiding the pain that usually accompanies with elbows and knuckles. My body and mind was put at ease knowing my problem areas would be reached with the pressure given and the method being used.  I received my training just three years later and that has been my specialty focus of treatment with my guests ever since. I enjoy and have an open mind to all types of therapeutics. In my efforts to learn and grow with the industry, I have recently experienced Sarga Bodywork and have found the benefits to be deeply grounding and truly an experience. Above all else, no matter the tools being used, my main focus is connection. I believe connection is essential to letting go. I prioritize my bodywork with listening with the belief and experience that the body knows what it needs and that you have the power already in your body to facilitate your healing.

I am a mother of two boys who keep me busy when I'm not working. Any other free time that I have, you can find me at Target or outside in the garden. I just moved here from the Seattle area and look forward to being here!
